Is it actually better to cut the mushrooms into small pieces before drying so that they dry faster, or is it better to do this after drying so that not so much oxidation occurs?

Hello!

I wouldn't do it, you only lose the active ingredient unnecessarily. It's different with sclerotia, which become rock-hard and difficult to crush, but I would always dry mushrooms whole.

@david moin:) I have just harvested my first flush and am now starting to dry them with your mat. How do I know when they are sufficiently dry? Kind regards

hey 🙂

That cannot be overlooked.
You can then see it clearly. If you bend the stems, they also crack.

mine are usually dry enough after 24 hours at the latest.
