Because this question keeps coming up, I'm posting it in the forum:

Question: Do you prefer to chew the truffles or swallow them whole? And does it make a difference whether they are fresh or dried (apart from their effectiveness)?

Chewing the sclerotia means crushing the hard cell walls and releasing the active ingredient quickly. To have a psychedelic experience, it is important to get an active ingredient peak.

For a "trip" it is therefore very important to chew the fresh sclerotia intensively for several minutes.

For microdosing it is not desirable=> swallow sclerotia. If you want to feel something very easily: bite and swallow.

Dry sclerotia encapsulate the active ingredient extremely well. This preserves it for a long time, resulting in a shelf life of years (dry mushrooms: months).

And it also means that they are broken down very slowly in the digestive tract, are very gentle on the stomach (i.e. suitable for people with sensitive stomachs) and have a very subtle effect because they release the active ingredient slowly.

It is therefore not possible to have a psychedelic experience with dry sclerotia simply because the active ingredient peak does not occur.

You have to grind them and stir them into liquid and then hold them in your mouth for a long time or extract them (e.g. with DMSO) in order to have psychedelic experiences with dry sclerotia.

Hello @david

What happens if you take dry sclerotia and want to eat or drink something with lemon, orange or lime? Can this have the same effect as Lemon Tek? Or is there only a risk with fresh sclerotia? Lilli uploaded a TikTok about this, but didn't mention whether it was dry or fresh or whether you should generally avoid these fruits when microdosing, whether in the morning or in the evening.

Many thanks in advance and best regards

If I have understood it correctly, the strengthening effect is due to the fact that with the help of the acid the psylocobin is converted more quickly into psylocin, and it also does this with dried mushrooms, especially as mushrooms and skeletoria become moist again when they are eaten anyway.

faster conversion also means that the peak is stronger, and therefore the duration of effect is shorter because the body will process the active ingredient more quickly.
